T Musolino & Co on Everyday Gourmet

The second Northern Adelaide Plains feature just aired on Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield and we are stoked to be able to share it with you.

This time, Justine visits T Musolino & Co, a family-owned producer of premium cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, and iceberg lettuce that has been operating in the Northern Adelaide Plains for over 60 years.

Recently, T Musolino & Co has dabbled in value-added products to solve problems in their business. They were finding that a lot of their cauliflowers were going to waste as they didn’t meet the strict aesthetic requirements of supermarkets. To make use of those cauliflowers, they created Healthy Heart Produce and started to manufacture and market cauliflower rice.

The cauliflower rice is stocked in supermarkets and grocers all over Australia and has been hugely successful. Healthy Heart Produce have expanded into other products like sweet potato rice and zucchini noodles. We’ve covered their story more in-depth here.

Chris Musolino takes Justine on a tour of the farm, and shows off the premium vegetables grown onsite. As you can imagine Justine gets creative with the variety of veggies on offer, and shows us how to create a vegetable dahl.
