Riverland Protective Cropping Expo
August 20th 2026 | 9:00-5:00pmBerri Hotel
ABOUTThe Riverland wine sector is facing significant challenges due to an oversupply of bulk wine grapes. This has accelerated the need for growers to diversify their operations—an evolution that began during COVID‑19—by exploring alternative enterprises such as almonds, olives, and broadacre horticulture like watermelons.
In response, the Northern Adelaide Plains Food Cluster (NAPFC), in partnership with the CCW Co‑operative, is hosting the Riverland Protective Cropping Expo to showcase innovative intensive cropping systems. The focus is on Protective Cropping, providing growers with practical insights, access to new technologies, and opportunities to connect with service providers and industry experts.
The Expo will take place at the Berri Hotel on 20th of August 2026. The aim is to support growers in making informed decisions, encourage investment in new cropping systems, and strengthen the region’s agricultural innovation.
