What do you love most about being in the Adelaide Plains Food Region?

What we love most about being in the Adelaide Plains Food Region is the abundance of rich, fertile soils, ample sunlight and the Mediterranean climate it offers. This climate is perfect for year-round production and results in nutrient-rich leafy greens with extended shelf life and a robust texture.

Could you share a bit of your history with this region? How long have you been involved in production here?

Our family has been cultivating soil-grown leafy greens on the Adelaide Plains for a very long time. It all began with growing vegetables as a hobby back in the 1970s. Gradually, this evolved into the year-round production of leafy greens.

In your opinion, what's the most special thing about the Adelaide Plains Food Region?

As mentioned previously, one of the most special things is the region's ideal climate which supports year-round production. Another thing is the closeness to the market. This ensures that our produce reaches consumers quickly while retaining its freshness.
